Classic Book Boyfriend

Another classic from Johanna Lindsey. The much beloved Mallory series, book #1.

JANUARY BOUDOIR READ

1/18  TO  1/31

"Love Only Once"     by:     Johanna Lindsey

BLURB:

The exquisite niece of Lord Edward and Lady Charlotte Malory, Regina Ashton is outraged over her abduction by the arrogant, devilishly handsome Nicholas Eden—and is determined to make the rogue pay . . . with his heart.

A golden-haired seducer, Nicholas has been hardened by a painful secret in his past. And now that he has besmirched Reggie's good name, the hot-tempered lady has vowed to wed him. Her fiery beauty stirs Nicholas as no woman ever has—and the rake arouses Reggie's passion to an unendurable level. Such uncontrolled desires can lead only to dangerous misunderstandings . . . and, perhaps, to a love that can live only once in a lifetime.

Lingerie by: AdoreMe                                          Regency Phrase: Lawks = Vulgar exclamation

There's noting quite so decadent and fun than reading romance while wearing beautiful lingerie.

I couldn't wait to get this in the mail. It reminded me of a pirate princess. I'm not sure why, perhaps the black color and all that lacing. This is the first corset I ever tried on. It's flattering and gives a wonderful illusion of a nice waistline. Once the lacing is in place, a hidden zipper makes dressing and undressing easy-peasy. Of course I couldn't resist the polka dots. I love the polka dots.

Building my TBR shelf on goodreads, come check it out.

From St. Martin's Press debut author Janna MacGregor come two new Regency Romances you will fall in love with. Don't forget to check out this week's lingerie pics. There's a lovely shot of an autographed copy of "The Bride Who Got Lucky" Thank you Janna!

DECEMBER BOUDOIR READ

12/01  TO  12/16

"The Bad Luck Bride"    &   "The Bride Who Got Lucky"
Cavensham Heiresses series.
by: Janna MacGregor

BLURB:

The Bad Luck Bride:
No one is left breathless at the imperious pronouncement of her engagement to Lord Pembrooke more than Claire. She hardly knows the dangerously outrageous man! But after three engagements gone awry and a fourth going up in glorious flames, she isn’t in a position to refuse...

Alexander requires the hand of his enemy’s fiancée in marriage in order to complete his plans for revenge. It’s his good fortune that the “cursed” woman is desperate. However, what begins as a sham turns into something scandalously deeper...

The Bride Who Got Lucky:
He would do anything to protect her. Even marry her…

The son of a cold-hearted duke, Nicholas St. Mauer isn’t one to involve himself in society…or open his own heart to anyone. But driven by honor, the reclusive Earl of Somerton feels obliged to keep a watchful eye on Lady Emma Cavensham. She possesses a penchant for passions unbecoming a woman that finds Nick in constant peril of losing his well-structured solitude. She even dared kiss Nick once—an utterly unladylike, and delightful, lapse…

Emma can’t deny the appeal of the earl’s attention, and occasional affection, but she has no need for a man. There are worse fates than spinsterhood, as Emma knows too well. She still mourns the loss of her dear friend Lena, and is determined to prove Lena’s husband responsible for her death before he lures another innocent woman into a brutal marriage. But as Emma pursues her prey, a compromising moment upends all her plans. Now, with gossip swirling and her reputation in tatters, Nick may be the only man brave enough to join in Emma’s cause. . .and fight for her heart.

Lingerie by: Victoria's Secret                         Regency Phrase: Civil Whiskers = Polite small talk

One of my absolute favorites is this soft gray and white lace baby doll. The chiffon skirting is ideal for every figure and the halter style is a bit of Marilyn Monroe. While reading Emma and Nick's story in "The Bride Who Got Lucky" I couldn't stop thinking about this lovely feminine lace nighty. Of course you can't go wrong with white for a wedding, and add some lovely white stockings, and the whole outfit radiates pure delight. Passionate and comfy, the best of both worlds.
